Longhorn Weather's 2010 Hurricane Forecast

September 2, 2010...4:00pm...
EARL HEADS FOR THE EAST COAST
I want to focus on Earl right now...Fiona will be a TS and possibly impact Bermuda..and Gaston we need to watch, but nothing on him at the moment he is to far out...in fact last advisory was issued by NHC. Another wave is coming off Africa. Earl currently is a Category 3 hurricane with 115mph winds. He has weakened from 145mph because of a Eyewall Replacement Cycle, along with drier air and slightly cooler water. I expect Earl to stay at Category 3 storm tonight as he SCRAPES THE EAST COAST!!!! Earl will continue to move north and pass over the Cape Cod Bay region by late Friday or into Saturday. Tropical warnings and watches have been issued along the east coast and even though the eye of Earl not expected to be fully on land, one should be aware of his vast size. Earl is expected to produce hurricane force winds along the coast which could cause great damage..plus the storm surge. Buoys have reported over 15 feet waves and the numbers have grown over 20 feet. Many are evacuating and this is advised by the NHC, Longhorn Weather, and in some places..mandatory.
